Each Vintage Full Fashioned Seamed Nylon Stocking was flat knit with 100% Dupont Nylon 66 in the shape of a leg, these are not today's inferior stretch nylon product! The seam on the rear of each leg is a result of a process that actually finishes the stocking and gives the stocking its classic shape and fit. Every stocking was seamed by a machinist back in the day! Personally tailored by a seamstress! Reproductions are not made this way! The "loop" at the top backside of the stocking is also a result of the finishing process and identifies a true "Full-Fashioned Nylon.” Each stocking is knit in the shape of a leg! The seam is a result of a process that actually finishes the stocking and gives the stocking its classic shape and fit. After this they are dyed to the correct color. Next comes "boarding" which is the most important process. Every single leg is pulled over a flat leg-shaped piece of metal and steamed to remove creases & to perfect the desired fit accordingly. They are then checked for first quality and exact sizing! Many are discarded to ensure you receive only the highest standard product. All of the beautiful old nylons that you will find on this website are FIRST QUALITY and this is printed on the welt of each brand and viewable in the pictures!
